RUSSELL COUNTY 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF 9-11-01 / VETERANS DAY EVENT
September 17, 2011 I would like to personally thank everyone who attended and made our 10 Year Anniversary of 9-11-01 / Veterans Day Event a resounding success. Furthermore, a huge thank you goes out to all of our sponsors who made this event possible and are ultimately responsible for the success. Included you will find a list of those sponsors who were so gracious to donate money and/or supplies. We couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you again. I would also like to thank every member of the planning committee for their efforts in making this a success. I would especially like to thank April Morgan, Charolette Embry, Miranda Luttrell, Ronnie McGaha, and Terry Hancock for the many hours of dedicated work they invested in this event. I am very proud to serve alongside each and every member of Russell County’s Emergency Services. I do believe we are blessed to have such dedicated and respected agencies that never hesitate to work together for the common good. As for the veterans and active duty military, any recognition we can provide to them would never be enough. It is our hope that those who were able to attend felt welcome and enjoyed a great day followed by a spectacular fireworks display. I would also like to thank Heirs by Grace, Brother Sullivan , Kayla Reece, Representative Jeff Hoover, Mrs. Emerson, Russell County ROTC, and The Russell County Mighty Laker Band for participating in our event. Anyone that may be interested in obtaining copies of pictures that were made during the event, they will be made available at www.rcems.com/911 over the next few weeks. They will be posted as they are received. The winners of our drawings are as follows:
In closing, I could fill this whole paper with words of gratitude for all of the success we have had with this event, but truly the biggest thanks goes to the public for participating and honoring this historic day and our military personnel. Sincerely, Michael Reynolds
